Beneficial Capital Corp is a N.Y. investment company originally incorporated in 1956 as a SBIC. The current owner, John J. Hoey, acquired the company in 1975 and continued operations on a greatly expanded scale as a SBIC until 1988 when he voluntarily surrendered the SBA license in good standing and repaid the outstanding SBA Funding in order to expand the activities outside of the SBIC statutory restrictions. Beneficial Capital Corp currently has ownership in numerous public and private companies and active in mezzanine financing and investment banking advisory services.
